Dorothy E. Shultz, age 65, of Nescopeck passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at home.
Born in Berwick on May 21, 1960, she was a daughter of the late Harold T. and Yvonne E. (Brown) Shultz. She was a graduate of Nanticoke High School, class of 1978. Dorothy was employed as a property manager.
Dorothy lived most of her life in Texas but has also lived in various other states. After moving to the area two years ago, she attended St. John’s United Church of Christ, Wapwallopen. Dorothy loved to travel and was very interested in learning the history of the areas that she visited. She was a spectacular grandmother and wonderful caretaker to her “favorite son”, her dog “Geronimo”.
Dorothy is survived by two sons; Northaniel Shultz and wife Celinda Medina of Pflugerville, Texas; and William Keefer of Austin, Texas; four cherished grandchildren; and 3 adored great grandsons. She also leaves behind her brother, Harold Shultz III and husband Douglas of Houston, Texas; an uncle, Bill and several cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
