Charles B. Charnoski, age 86, of Nanticoke and formerly of Slocum Township, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on November 14, 1939, he was the last living of 7 children born to the late Peter J and Anna (Raczkowski) Charnoski. He was a graduate of Hanover High School, class of 1957. Charles worked as a machinist for many years, most recently he was a radial drill press operator and did layout work at Barrett, Haentjens & Co, Hazleton.
Charles enjoyed fishing, woodworking, photography, gardening, sketching and drawing.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Lisa Charnoski and husband William Burridge of Wapwallopen; grandchildren, Kimberly Webby and husband John; Steven Charnoski; great grandchildren, Bella and John Webby; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Charnoski in March 2021; brothers, Edward, John, and Elmer Charnoski and wife Maria; sisters, Josephine Charnoski, Loretta Slavinski and husband John, and Catherine Jones and husband John.
At his request, there will be no public services.
