Floyd Rinehimer, age 88, of Wapwallopen passed away on April 30, 2026, at his home.
Born in Dorrance on August 6, 1937, he was the son of the late George and Edith (Stein) Rinehimer. He was a graduate of Newport Township High School. His whole life was spent on the family dairy farm.
Floyd was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Hobbie. He was very active in the church council and the church itself. In his younger years, he loved playing baseball and was an avid Philly fan.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 67 years, Shirley (Wenner) Rinehimer; daughter, Shelly Pfromm and husband Bret, Nescopeck; sons, Kevin Rinehimer and wife Richell, Dorrance; and Gary Rinehimer and wife Randi, Nescopeck; daughter-in-law, Joan Rinehimer, Wilkes-Barre; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and sister, Lois Yeager, Mountain Top.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Floyd Rinehimer and siblings, George, Edsel, Arthur, Emily, Helen and May.
The viewing will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 E Third Street, Nescopeck. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday May 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. James Lutheran Church, 827 E County Rd, Wapwallopen, PA.
