Martin J. Harmon, Jr., age 70, of Berwick went home to be with his lord and savior on May 15, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Berwick on November 18, 1955, he was a son of the late Janice (Hunter) and Martin J. Harmon, Sr. He was raised and educated in Berwick. He worked for Wise Potato Chip Factory, Press Enterprise and Deluxe Homes throughout the years before retiring. He also did lawn care for many people on the side.
Martin was an active member at his church, Bethany United Methodist Church, Berwick. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Martin was a long time Berwick Bulldog fan and played in his younger years. He enjoyed doing yardwork but loved nothing more than spending every chance he had with his family and his grandsons, who he loved dearly.
He will be greatly missed by his wife with whom he spent 46 years, Nancy J. (Matash) Harmon; daughter, Renee C. Harmon and fiancé Brandon Swank, Berwick; son, Mark J. Harmon, Berwick; and grandchildren, Kayden Swank and Evan Harmon. He also leaves behind brothers, Dan Harmon and wife Cathy, Berwick; Tim Harmon, Berwick; Michael Harmon and fiancée Rachele, Berwick; sister, Susan Cope, Berwick; brother-in-law, Frank Matash, Berwick; sister-in-law, Marilyn Matash, Berwick; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Harmon.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Bethany United Methodist Church of Berwick, 1611 Summerhill Ave, Berwick, Pennsylvania.
