Susan Burger, age 68, of Berwick passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on October 16, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Santo J. and Elizabeth V. (Petch) Caravella. She worked at the former Fabri-Kal, Hazleton in the packaging department and was on the Rapid Response Team as a coordinator until retiring after 25 years in 2024.
Sue was the financial secretary and shop steward for the United Steelworkers Union. Her greatest love was spending quality time with the ones she loved the most, her family and friends. She enjoyed visiting wineries, karaoke and bingo.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Barbara Cann, Larksville; Harvey McAfee, Jr. and wife Lizz, Berwick; Kaitlin Vought and husband Dennis Jr., Nescopeck; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers and five sisters.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers.
Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at the Berwick VFW Post 821.
