Anthony Robert Lutsky, 93, of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 25, 2026, after a brief stay in hospice at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center.
Born on September 16, 1932, in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Anthony and Anna (Rodavitch) Lutsky. Anthony was a proud veteran who answered his countrys call to service when he was drafted into the United States Army in 1951 at the age of 18. He honorably served as a Military Police officer during the Korean War, a service he carried with pride throughout his life.
On May 5, 1956, Anthony married the love of his life, Rita. Together they shared over 51 years of marriage until her passing on February 26, 2007. Their enduring love and devotion created a strong foundation for their family.
Anthony is survived by his three children: Robert Lutsky (Christine)Bloomsburg, PA, John Lutsky (Kannon)Florida, and Anita Lovell, Florida. He was a proud grandfather to Robert Lutsky (Julie), Christopher Lutsky, Neil Petcock, and Amanda Szuch-Hogan, and was blessed with five great-grandchildren.
Anthony spent his entire career in the heavy equipment construction industry. He began working in a quarry in New Jersey before pursuing his entrepreneurial dream and establishing his own construction business in Pennsylvania. He was known for his strong work ethic, determination, and dedication to providing for his family.
A proud veteran, Anthony was a member of American Legion Post 273 for over forty years, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow servicemen and women. Anthony will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his country, his hardworking spirit, and the quiet strength and integrity with which he lived his life. His legacy will live on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Anthony’s devoted caregiver, Evelyn, for the compassionate care, kindness, and unwavering support she provided throughout his later years. Her dedication, patience, and friendship brought comfort not only to Anthony but also to his family, and they will always be deeply grateful for the love and dignity she showed him.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Burial is private in Mountain Grove Cemetery.
