Amy Jo Brown, age 62, of Nescopeck passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 28, 2026.
Born in Nanticoke on July 27, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Benton E. Culver and Charlotte R. (Deitrich) Conrad. She was a graduate of Northwest Area High School and furthered her education at LCCC, earning her associate’s degree in criminal justice. Amy loved to bake and was blessed to turn that passion into a career currently working as the bakery manager at Weis Markets, Berwick, where she has worked for many years.
Amy was a member of Mt Zion United Church of Christ, where in the past she was a Sunday School teacher. For many years she was the president of PINE at Nescopeck Elementary School. She was also a committee member of Friends of the NRA.
Amy enjoyed reading in her quiet time and looked forward to the annual trip they would take to Canada each year. She was an avid Kansas City Chief fan. Amy was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her husband with whom she recently celebrated their 41st anniversary, Douglas D. Brown; children: Dane Brown, Ethan Brown and wife Samantha, Tyrone Brown and wife Jen; Richard Brown and wife Alyssa; David Brown; Germaine Brown; Anthony Brown and wife Dwayna; Daniel Brown and wife Kayla; Robert Brown; Kristol Brown; Melanie Brown; and Ellen Brown; grandchildren, Kai, Kelvin, Capryn, Nevaeh, Aurora, Braxtyn, Tyson, Malikiah, Elijah, Jazzie, Alex, Sky, Bonnie, Cavier, Jovanna, Savanna, Rosalie, La’Rainah, Gemmalee, Quenton, Yuma, Maverick, Traevontus, Rahmarr, Rosaleigh, Haleigh, Chloe. She also leaves behind brother, Benton Culver III and wife Judy; sisters, Glenda Sudol and husband David; Bernadine Killian and husband Ralph; and Tracey Arner and husband Dean; former daughters-in-law, Danielle Benjamin, Jodi Bankes, and Joanna Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday July 31, 2026, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck.
