Kenneth K. Slusser, age 84, of Shickshinny passed away suddenly on Friday, July 30, 2026, at his home, surrounded by family.
Born in Bloomsburg on December 21, 1941, he was a son of the late Cletus Slusser and Pearl (Deebel) Allsteder. He attended Bloomsburg High School, class of 1959, just after graduating he entered the U.S. Army and served honorably until 1962. For many years, he was employed at Bloomsburg Craftsman.
Ken liked being outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, camping or gardening. While outside, he enjoyed watching wildlife. He was a history buff and was always interested in watching history shows and visiting historical sites. He liked looking for good finds on eBay. He was a past member of the Masons.
In 1962, he married his beloved wife, Monika. They would have celebrated their 64th anniversary in August. Together they raised 3 children and built a strong foundation for many generations to come.
In addition to his wife, he will be greatly missed by his sons, Jeffrey Slusser and wife Darlene, Muncy; and Scott Slusser, Bloomsburg; cherished grandchildren, Monika and husband Cesar, Cheyenne, Jennifer and husband Derek, Jon, Daniel and wife Heather, David, Donnie and wife Whitney; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ingeborg “Inge” Lewis in 2018; and a brother, Clair Slusser.
Family will received friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Mifflinville Cemetery, Mifflinville.
