Melanie R. English, age 64, of Mifflinville, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at her home.
Born on November 5, 1961, she was a daughter of the late Mary R. (Holmes) and Lawrence X. English, Sr. She was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, class of 1979. She was employed at R. R. Donnelly, Bloomsburg, which later became Hadden Craftsman. Later, she worked for Hershey Chocolate Factory, Hazleton, until retiring this past year.
Melanie liked antique shopping. She greatly enjoyed spending quality time with her grandsons and family. She loved taking care of the dogs she had over the years, especially Finn and Chunk, who were always by her side.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Travis R. McHenry, Lime Ridge; and Jared Coolbaugh and wife Ashley, Berwick; grandsons, Talon, Tegan, Tiernan, and Ivan. She also leaves behind sisters, Dolores English, New Hampshire; Mary “Janie” English, Hunlock Springs; and nieces and nephews including, Aubrey Taney and husband Joshua, Heather Siesko, and Justin Crane.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert English and Lawrence English, Jr.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and details will be announced at a later time.
