Bryan Bomboy is free from the bonds of paralysis at last. If you knew him, you loved him and you called him Danny. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at his home in Exeter.
He was born in Bloomsburg on August 17, 1962, to the late Thomas L. Bomboy and Donna P. (Pegg) Mowery, and with the love of his Aunt Pearl, he grew into the loving, wonderful and social person we all know. He graduated from Columbia Montour Vo-Tech in 1980. He was a talented artist who loved to paint. He enjoyed gardening and bird watching.
To the joy of his life, he was known as Uncle Doo. The beloved title came from his first-born niece, Brooke, who shared his love of music every time they were together. His heart expanded every time another niece, nephew, great niece, or great nephew came along.
Although Danny was paralyzed in November of 2004, he lived life to the fullest. He remained at home under the care of many faithful caregivers over the years, especially Martin Mullen. He loved being surrounded by his family and was always looking for ways to do fun events with his family which included water parks, train rides, concerts, picnics, and travel. He was unstoppable in his will to make the best of his life.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family including his sister, Gemmi Koser and husband Ed, Danville; brothers, Tom Bomboy and wife Diane, Berwick; David Bomboy, Berwick; many beloved nieces and nephews, Brooke, Britni, Teddy, Thomas, Shawn, Melissa, Noah, Shiane; great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew Nathan Henrickson.
There will be a celebration of life gathering starting at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Montour Delong Fair Building, 5848 Broadway Rd, Danville, PA.
