Donald G. Levan, 70, formerly of Berwick, passed away on May 15, 2022, at his home in St. George, Utah.
Born in Berwick on October 21, 1951, he was the son of the late Reginald and Leona (Martz) Levan. He graduated from Berwick High School and was employed at Berwick Forge and Fabrication until it closed. Later he worked at Berwick Industries and retired from Heinz Pet Food, Bloomsburg.
After moving to Utah, he became a member of the Elks Lodge where he helped with club events and fundraisers. He was very involved with volunteering and was once voted in as member of the year. He also volunteered with the Special Olympics. Don was an avid hunter, who hunted all seasons in PA and in Utah, where he hunted larger game. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling. In his younger years, he was a muscle car enthusiast.
He will be greatly missed by his son, Kristian Levan and wife Marcella, Pittsburg; daughter, April Levan Young and husband Dave, Shickshinny; grandchildren, Aiden Levan and Cassius Young; sister, Karen Levan, Berwick; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Levan and sister, Sue Jaffin.
A private celebration of life for the family is being planned for July.
