Thomas S. Fink, age 82, of Bloomsburg passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Sunset Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Berwick on December 8, 1939, he was the son of Ralph C. and Clara L. (Trump) Fink McAfee. Thomas was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1957. He then worked in the shipping department at Wise Potato Chips for 50 years.
Thomas was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, St. Mary’s, Berwick where he was an alter server for over 40 years. In his free time, he was a gardener and astronomer. In his younger years, he also enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, Peter McAfee, he was preceded in death by his wife Eva “Joanne” Fink, on July 8, 2015; sister, Joann Meaders; and brother-in-law, Doyle Ridall.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Renee Strong, Berwick; Cathy Hess and husband Brad, Berwick; Pamela Morris and husband John, Berwick; Jodi Medler and husband Mel, New Castle, IN; grandchildren, Megan, Jessica, Amy, Angela, Breanna, Alyssa, Kayleigh, Hanna, and Seth; and 14 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Ridall, Berwick; Judith Hunsinger and husband Fred “Butch”, Berwick; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at St. Mary’s Church, Berwick. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday evening, September 30, 2022, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck.
Burial with his beloved wife will take place at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg at the convenience of the family.
