Jean E. Stout, 85, of Berwick passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Berwick Hospital Center.
Born in Berwick on December 20, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Charles R. and Fronnie C. (Herb) Wark. She graduated from Berwick High School. Jean worked at Newberry’s until it closed, then at K-Mart until retiring.
Jean was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Berwick, where she was a member of WELCA, and a Sunday School teacher for many years. She also sang in the Church choir. She enjoyed bowling and participated in league bowling at Stenko’s on Tuesday nights.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alan Stout in 2001; sister, Beryl; brothers, Luther, Walter, Richard, Charles, and Rodney.
She is survived by her son, Mark Stout; cherished grandchildren; Cynthia, Destiny, Skye and Damian; 4 adored great grandchildren; brother, John Wark, York, PA; brother-in-law, Jim Stout, Berwick; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time. She will be interred next to her husband in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Berwick.
