Tammy L. Villano, age 62, of Hollenback Township, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Hazleton on January 20, 1961, she was the daughter of William E. Schaffer Jr. of Tunkhannock and the late Betty J. (Shultz) Smith. She graduated from Hazleton High School in 1978 and attended McCann School of Business. She was employed as an assistant manager at Wal-Mart, where she worked for 15 years.
Tammy enjoyed entertaining in her home, she loved cooking and was an excellent baker. She also liked going out to eat with her friends.
She will be greatly missed her husband of nearly 39 years, David A. Villano Sr., Wapwallopen; son, David A. Villano Jr. and wife Lisa, Wapwallopen; brother, William E. Shaffer III and wife Kimberly, Tunkhannock; sister-in-law, Sharon Kelly, Hazleton; and her loyal pup, Rusty.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Villano.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E. Third Street, Nescopeck. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the time of service.
