Doyle A. Beaver, age 78, of Beaver Township passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville with his loving family by his side.
Born in Danville on December 27, 1944, he was a son of the late Allen J and Ursa (Mowrey) Beaver. He was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School and worked for many years as a pressman at Hadden Craftsman, which later became RR Donnelly.
Doyle loved gardening and spent many hours tending to all the things he planted. He liked hunting, both deer and turkey, as well as fishing. He was a member of the Tip Top Hunting Club since 1971 and a member of the Bloomsburg Hunting Camp. He enjoyed watching basketball and football, the Celtics and the Colts were his favorite teams.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 58 years, Diane J. (Bankes) Beaver; daughters, Denise Ziller and husband James, Bloomsburg; Denian Beaver, Bloomsburg; granddaughter, Megan Peters and husband Jerry; and cherished great granddaughter, Lucy Irene. He also leaves behind sisters, Ruth Ann Tortora and husband Reno, Oregon; Alice Walker, Catawissa; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Beaver; and sister, Sharon Lanning.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck.
