Roy R. Spangler, age 74, of Berwick, formerly of Hobbie, passed away on Saturday May 11, 2024, at Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Born in Berwick on June 22, 1949, he was the son of the late Roy M. and Edith A. (Zanolini) Spangler. He graduated from the last class of Nescopeck High School in 1967. Roy was employed at Bercon which later became Liquitain for several years. He retired from Kydex, Bloomsburg in 2014.
Roy enjoyed spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle whenever he got the chance.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Lonie A. (Fenstermacher) Spangler of 35 years; son, Lee Spangler and wife Lori, Pittsburgh; daughter, Susie Powers, Kentucky; 3 grandchildren, Tyler Lee, and Dylan and Alexis Powers. He also leaves behind sisters, Mary Jane Yarrish and husband Steve, Hobbie; Angela Traugh and husband Hutch, Mifflinville; brothers, Herman Spangler and wife Joy, Hobbie; John Spangler and wife Toni, Wyoming, PA; many nieces and nephews; and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Spangler, and sister, Linda Spangler.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Heller Funeral Home LLC, Nescopeck is entrusted with arrangements.
