David L. Schechterly, age 56, of Berwick passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at home.
He was born in Bloomsburg on December 29, 1967, and was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1986. Dave worked at Amcor Flexibles North America, Hazleton, PA.
He was a member of the Berwick Art Association, and the North Mountain Art League. He was a talented artist, who enjoyed drawing and designing digital art. He also collected comic books. He loved animals, especially his 2 cats, “Buddy and Missy” and dog, “Miah”.
He is preceded in death by his father, Albert L. “Pete” Schechterly and wife Patsy (Andreas) Schechterly; mother, Judith A. (Nagle) Schechterly; and brother, Duane A. Schechterly.
He will be greatly missed by his life partner of over 20 years, Mary Glidewell, at home; brother, Edward Schechterly and husband Rob Ferguson-Schechterly, S. Williamsport; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is entrusted with arrangements.
