Arthur C. Rinehimer, age 93, of Bloomsburg passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Gardens at Orangeville where he was a guest for the past two years.
Born in Dorrance Township on October 19, 1931, he was a son of the late George and Edith (Stein) Rinehimer. He was a graduate of Newport High School, and honorably served from 1955 to 1957 in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. All his life, Arthur worked on the family dairy farm.
As a young man, he met the love of his life, Margaret D. Summers. They dated for many years prior to being married on April 13, 1993.
He was a member of Lime Ridge New Hope Church, Bloomsburg and St James Evangelical Church, Hobbie. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the American Bowling Association. He also liked golfing, cutting the grass, square dancing and hunting. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Misty, and Holly, who was always at his side.
Besides his wife of 32 years, Margaret D. (Summers) Rinehimer; he will be greatly missed by his brother, Floyd Rinehimer and wife Shirley, Hobbie; sister, Lois Yeager, Hobbie and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George Rinehimer and wife Ruth; Edsel Rinehimer and wife Jane; sisters, Helen Rinehimer and husband Clyde; Emily Bloss and husband Wilbur; May Fenstermacher and husband Eugene; and brother-in-law, Ray Yeager
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck with Pastor Vince Keister officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
