Vicki L. Cozad

Vicki L. Cozad, age 79, of Bloomsburg passed away on Saturday February 22, 2025, at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital.

Born in Bloomsburg on October 29, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Max E. and Geneva I. (Karchner) O’Blosser. In her younger years, she worked as a nurse’s aide for Kram’s Nursing Home. Later, she worked for the family company Cozad Welding as a secretary, and devoted her time to making sure her family was well taken care of.

She was a member of the Eighth Tabernacle, Williamsport. She enjoyed crafting, including knitting and crocheting. She always followed her son’s sports and enjoyed supporting her grandchildren by attending their events also. She loved spending time babysitting her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Cozad, who passed on December 4, 2013; sisters, Sandy Tincher; Linda Platt; and Shirley O’Blosser; brothers, Larry O’Blosser and Max O’Blosser.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Walt Persing and wife Janet, Watsontown; and Dawn Persing and companion Chris Ericson, Meza AZ; grandchildren, Kara Hornberger, Christopher Erickson and Amanda Persing; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles O’Blosser, Pottstown; and Brian O’Blosser and fiancée Lydia Weitzel, Reading; sister, Dee Elkins and husband Richard, Pottstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Vicki’s request there will be no public services. Heller Funeral Home LLC, Nescopeck is assisting her family.
