Suzette D. Flores, age 60, of Bloomsburg passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville after losing a 4-year battle with cancer.
Born in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late Andres Flores Lazada and Lucy Denise (Padgett) Clark. When living in Florida, she worked in the banking industry. After moving to Chicago later, she spent many years working in the legal assistance field and eventually helping with the Evanston School District until becoming ill.
Suzette loved talking and spending time with her daughter, stepdaughters, friends and her two cats. She also enjoyed experiencing food from different cultures, shopping and helping the less fortunate in whatever capacity she could. During her illness, to keep herself busy, she spent her time crafting doll houses.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Melvin “Butch” Litwhiler, with whom she spent 14 years with; daughter, Lilyanna Flores; stepdaughters, Katlynn N Litwhiler Fedder and husband Dean; and Harley S. Litwhiler; grandchildren, Arizona and Stetson; sister, Sonja D. Gomez and husband Cesar, IL; and niece, Alura.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Threet.
At Suzette’s request there will be no services. Heller Funeral Home LLC, Nescopeck is assisting her family.
