Roger P. Stout, age 72, of Nescopeck passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Berwick on March 9, 1953, he was one of 9 children born to the late Richard F. and Marjorie P. (Turner) Stout, Sr. Raised in the Wapwallopen area and attended school in Nescopeck. For over 36 years, Roger worked in the tree service industry, first at Asplundh, then at Lewis, later at Nelson and again at Asplundh until he retired.
He was a life member of the VFW Post 8227 Auxiliary, Nescopeck, a member of Berwick Elks Lodge 1138, and the Sons of the American Legion Post 252, Florida. He enjoyed shooting pool and was a member of leagues both in Pennsylvania and Florida.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Sally (Davenport) Stout; son, Andrew Stout, Berwick; stepson, Andrew “AJ” Hoffman and wife Meredith, Berwick; several grandchildren including, Landen Hoffman and Leeanna Ross. He also leaves behind brothers, Richard “Butch” Stout Jr and wife Andrea, Berwick; Clinton Stout and wife Sharon, Wapwallopen; Walter Stout and wife Donna, Berwick; David Stout and partner Philip, New Jersey; sisters, Carlene King and husband Walter, Wapwallopen; Linda Mowery and husband James Sr, Nescopeck; Beth Stout, Wapwallopen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Stout; and stepdaughter, Aimee Swafford.
At Roger’s request there will be no services. Heller Funeral Home LLC, Nescopeck is assisting his family.
