John Vencak, age 64, of Hobbie passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at his home.
Born at home in Hobbie on June 16, 1961, he was a son of the late Michael S and Victoria T (Silinski) Vencak. He was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1979. For many years John worked as a boilermaker for C&I Boiler, Montoursville.
John was a member of the American Ukrainian Citizen’s Club, Berwick. He enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle, and he also liked clamming and crabbing in Delaware. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved daughter, Brandi Vencak, Hobbie; son, John Vencak and wife Kallie, Berwick; cherished grandchildren, Madison Crane, Taryn Vencak, Wyatt Wargo, Wylan Wargo, Zander Vencak, Alecsa Vencak, Malana Vencak; and adored great grandson, Kaison Merth. He also leaves behind a brother, Michael Vencak and wife Julia, Hobbie; several nieces and nephews; and companion, Autumn Blackburn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, April L. (Hampton) Vencak in 2023.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck. A celebration of life will be held after the viewing, at the Maria Assunta, 901 Monroe St, Berwick.
Burial will be private in Our Lady Help of Christians, St. Mary’s, Dorrance.
