Bret Lane Kishbaugh, 52, of Mifflinville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 20, 2016 at his home. He had been in failing health for the past 6 years.
Born in Berwick on December 25, 1963, he was the son of Barbara O. (Brown) Bayer, of Bloomsburg, and the late Gary L. Kishbaugh. Bret was a graduate of Columbia Montour Vo-Tech. In the 1980’s he was employed at the Press Enterprise, prior to moving out of state. He also worked as a printer in Kentucky and Ohio, until his health began to decline.
Bret enjoyed playing the guitar. H e also loved to feed and watch the squirrels and birds in the yard. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Shaina Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, and Stephanie Kishbaugh, Mifflinville; several grandchildren; maternal grandmother, Dolores Brown; paternal grandmother, Katherine Kishbaugh, Nescopeck; a sister, Tracy Shannon, Alexandria, KY; a niece; a nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Shawn Kishbaugh; maternal grandfather, Robert E. Brown; paternal grandfather, Elwood Kishbaugh; and uncle, Joel E. Brown.
At his request there will be no funeral service. Heller Funeral Home is assisting his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Resource Center, 301A Boone Road, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
