David D. Olah, 40, of Berwick passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was a patient since Wednesday.
Born in Burbank, CA, on June 12, 1976, he was the only child of the late Kathleen L. Olah. Dave graduated from Berwick High School and earned his associates degree in Communications from Luzerne County Community College. He was employed at WVIA, and most recently at Entercom Communications as a production assistant and radio D.J.
Dave was an entertainer. He was involved in the pro wrestling arena where he wrestled as “Mac Robo” and later “The Big Gun”. He then became a wrestling trainer in the Berwick area. He also was very musically talented, and able to play many instruments including the Bass, Guitar, Drums and Clarinet. His hobbies were collecting comic books and action toys.
Dave will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 10 years, Nadia (Dowell) Olah; cherished sons, Kevin and Cameron; his aunt, Louise (Olah) Lupton of Las Vegas; and many family members and friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alexander and Helen Olah; uncles and aunts, including Julie Strait, Isabelle Horvath, Charles and Lavona Olah and Mary Pope.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2016, from 9:00 to 11 AM at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck. A memorial service will be held at 11:00, with Reverend Francis Tamborro officiating. Interment of his cremated remains will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Berwick.
