Lois A. Lex, 68, of Berwick, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by her family.
Born in Bloomsburg on June 11, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Emma E. (Welsh) Stone. She was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School, class of 1965. After high school, Lois was employed at a local sewing factory and then US Radium, Bloomsburg. She then became the secretary for her husband, at Donald Lex Construction, for 45 years.
Lois was a member of Shiloh Bible Church, where she volunteered on the missions committee. She was also a member of Gideons International and the National Association of Home Builders. She was a very creative person who liked stamping, needle point and ceramics.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Donald D. Lex, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage last month. She is also survived by two beloved children, Donald Lex, Jr, husband of Michelle, Napa, CA, and Cathy Mooney, wife of Greg, Oviedo, FL; cherished grandchildren, Marcus, Cole, Elliot and Owen; brother, Harry Stone, Berwick, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, Decemeber 11, 2015 at Shiloh Bible Church, Almedia with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Doug Lyon officiating. Interment will be private. Family will received friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, and on Friday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
