Judith A. Hearn

Judith A. Hearn,
On Friday, April 1, 2016, Judy joined her parents, the late George V. and Thelma Kmiecinski in heaven along with her younger brother, Thomas E. Kmiecinski, who died in February, 2013.

Judy was born on April 12, 1950 in Danville, PA. In 1954, her family moved to Bloomsburg where she attended St. Columba School and graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1968. She continued to live and work in the area, retiring from the Columbia County Assistance office in 2005.

She is survived by her husband, William H. Hearn, who she married on August 1, 1998. They lived in Briar Creek Township since 2003. Together they enjoyed building and remodeling their homes, sightseeing, and travelling to beaches and lakes.

She also leaves behind her son, Keith A Mourey and wife Jamell; grandchildren, Ryan Mourey and Courtney Leiby, all of Bloomsburg; brother, George Kmiecinski Jr, Drums and his special friend Susan Lewis, Bloomsburg; sister, Susan Wehrer and husband David, Kingston; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kmiecinski, Webster, NY; step-son, Robert Hearn, his wife Jennifer, and their daughter, Emily, of West Milford, NJ; as well as many other close extended family members.

Judy enjoyed reading, walking, going to the Berwick Y, and swimming. She participated in many 5K races including the Run for the Diamonds in 2010, of which she is proudest. She would tell you that she had a happy life, enjoyed great health until the past year, and loved her family and friends. She gave thanks to the Lord every night for the day past, and every morning for the day beginning.

At her request, there will be no viewing, please remember her as she was known to you. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick.

Flowers are great, but a donation to the Berwick YMCA Scholarship program is a great gift as she spent may happy hours there, or to the charity of your choice.
