Edwin C. Switzer

Edwin C. Switzer, 63, of Berwick passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, following a sudden cardiac event.

Born in Berwick on June 27, 1952, he was the son of the late Selena (Kreisher) and John E. Ed enjoyed going to yard sales, and roller skating, which is how he met his wife. As much as he loved his work, what he loved even more, was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 32 years, Sheryl A. Galler; daughters, Catherine Robinson and husband Sean, NC; Jennifer Galler, Berwick; Shawna Robinson and husband Brandon, SC; sons, Christopher Switzer and wife Lianna, NC; John Brian, Wilkes-Barre; Christopher Galler and wife Maggie “Pet Rock”, Berwick; 12 adored grandchildren; Frankie Lea, David, Brynon, Elyssa, Christopher Jr, James, Tyler, Logan, Crimson, John Jr, Hannah, Noah; and great grandson, Aiden. He is also survived by his sisters, Judy Brown and husband Herb, Orangeville; Cindy Milheim, Marion Bankes and husband Alan, Laurie Richards and husband Randy, Barbara Farver, all of Berwick; Linda Schneider, NJ; brothers, Robert Switzer and wife Kay, Berwick; Don Switzer, Shickshinny; Charles Switzer, Berwick; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Ridall; and brothers, Ben Switzer and John “Jake” Switzer.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. In keeping with Ed’s wishes, casual dress is requested.
