Richard H. Broadt, 79, of South Centre Township passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his home.
Born in Main Township on June 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Albert C. and Rachel (Probst) Broadt, Sr. He graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1955, and served in the US Army during the Korean War. After an honorable discharge, he was employed at Milco Industries. Most recently he worked as a security guard at the Washingtonville Power Plant.
Dick greatly enjoyed playing cards with his family, and golfing. He also loved spending time with his loyal companion, “Baby”.
He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Broadt in 2008; a sister, Melba Broadt; and brothers, Wilson J. Broadt and George Broadt.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Lori Neeb, Bloomsburg; son, James Neeb, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Cynamon, Destiny, Savannah, Darian; and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth D. Brooking, Bloomsburg; and brother, Albert C. Broadt, Jr.
At Dick’s request there will be no viewing or service. Private interment will take place next to his wife, Donna, in Elan Memorial Park.
