Marlene M. (Goodfield) Wright Hagenbaugh

Marlene M. (Goodfield) Wright Hagenbaugh, 76, of Bewick passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2016 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, where she was a patient for the past 3 weeks.

Born in Scranton on April 1, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Edmund D. and Thelma E. (Franklin) Goodfield. She graduated from Nescopeck High School, class of 1958. Prior to retiring, she was employed at Berwick Offrey for 20 years.

Marlene attended Shiloh Bible Church, Bloomsburg. She would spend her free time playing Farmville and watching FOX News, with her beloved dog, “Sarge”. She loved going “treasure hunting” with her girlfriends. She liked swimming, gardening, and baking with grandchildren. She volunteered to donate blood often, and was very proud to be a 10-gallon donor.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Marie Roth, FL; Rosemary Platt and husband Ron Platt, Jr, Berwick; stepdaughter whom she raised, Kathie Fraind, Berwick; stepsons, William Wright and wife Cindy, Weatherly; Glenn Wright, Nescopeck; grandchildren, Tiffany Deitrich; Steven Deitrich Jr and companion Jolynn Gurns; Nathan Laubach; Tina Riley and companion Scott Reader; James Fraind Jr; Sky Wright; Rodney Wright Jr; D’Artagnan Wright; step grandson, Bryce Platt; and several great grandchildren including, Matthew and Sabrina. She is also survived by brothers, Edmund Goodfield, Scranton; Richard Goodfield, CA; and many nieces and nephews. She was known as “Grammy” to Jennifer Fenstermacher and Rylie Welsh, who she also leaves behind.

Marlene was preceded in death by her first husband, William J.A. Wright; second husband, Robert Hagenbaugh; son, Paul Wright; and stepson, Rodney Wright.

Family will receive friends during the viewing on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Rosemary Platt, and mailed to 1218 East 8th Street, Berwick, PA 18603, to help with Marlene’s final expenses.
