Joanne Young, 73, of Liberty Township, Danville passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at her home after a battle with cancer.
Born in Danville on October 7, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John and Theo (Zeilsdorf) Loreman, and attended Danville High School. Most recently, she was employed in the housekeeping department at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. For many years, Joanne babysat children.
She like being at home and completing tasks around the house. During her free time, she enjoyed working on Sudoku puzzles and watching “Days of Our Lives”.
Jo is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, David E. Young, Sr; sons, Thomas Loreman, Montandon; David Young and wife April, Shickshinny; daughter, Shelly Brown, Danville; grandchildren, Amber Brown, Amanda Brown, Alexis Brown, Cassius Young, Layla Loreman, Quinton Loreman; and great grandsons, Logan and Mason Brown.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Loreman and a sister.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
