Richard E. “Duke” Musselman

Richard E. “Duke” Musselman, 70, of Berwick passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2016, at his home.

Born in Rohrsburg on September 7, 1946, he was a son of the late Raymond O. Musselman and Minnie (Everet) Torres. He was a graduate of Southern Columbia High School. He began working at Consolidated Cigar in Berwick in 1968, then transferred to the plant in McAdoo, where he worked until his retirement in 2012.

Duke collected antiques, often finding treasures at yard sales and flea markets. He liked going to events like the Bloomsburg Fair and Berwick Riverfest, attending concerts and going to the movies. He loved eating and trying all kinds of foods, as well as playing the lottery.

He will be greatly missed by his brothers, Victor “Jim” Musselman and wife Suzanne, Danville; Anthony Musselman, Erie; sister, Susan Hollenbach, Girardville; several half-brothers and half-sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Vivian Palmer and Vonda DeGregor.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, PA 18635 to help with his final expenses.
