Robert L. Good, of Hollenback Township passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Berwick Retirement Village II, where he was a guest since last month.
Born in Hobbie on July 1, 1927, he was the son of the late Russel R. and Nora M. (Taney) Good. Bob was a graduate of Nescopeck High School, class of 1944, and served in the US Army from 1947 to 1950. After being honorably discharged, he worked at Wise Potato Chips, Berwick, until retiring at the age of 70.
Robert enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables. He had a small orchard with fruit trees and berry bushes. He liked landscaping and horticulture.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Good Gomer and Joan Ruth Berlin; and a brother, Nevin Lee Good.
He will be greatly missed by his brother-in-law, David Berlin; and a niece Lesa Good-Tigue.
At Robert’s request, there will be no public services. Interment at the family’s convenience will be held at Emanuel Cemetery, Dorrance.
Robert’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Berwick Retirement Village II, and Berwick Home Health and Hospice, for their compassion and care they provided during his illness.
