William G. Toth, 86, of Berwick passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Berwick Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Berwick on May 30, 1930, he was the son of the late William J. and Anna (Sopkanich) Toth. He graduated from Berwick High School in 1948 and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After an honorable discharge in 1953, he was employed as a welder at ACF, at both the Berwick and Milton locations.
Bill was an active member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception BVM Church, Berwick. He enjoyed reading, loved being outdoors, going for walks, and freshwater fishing.
He will be greatly missed by his sisters, Helen Durso of Newark, DE; Mary Wolfe of Berwick; numerous nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at St. Mary’s Church, Berwick, with his pastor, Reverend Francis Tamburro officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Berwick. Family will receive friends in the Church Chapel from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
