Daniel “Kimo” Kmietowicz, 51, passed away suddenly at Health Alliance Hospital, Kingston, NY.
Born in Berwick on June 21, 1965 he was the son of the late Francis E. and Jean M. (Babetski) Kmietowicz. He was raised and educated in the Berwick Area. Kimo moved from place to place around the country, and was employed as a mason and carpenter. He liked to say that his residence was our Mother Earth.
Kimo was a member and an elder of the Rainbow Family of Living Light. He attended many gatherings, where he shared his love of nature and the earth, and helped to share the message and values of group. He set a true example of how content on can be while living a simple life. He spent many hours making dream catchers, which he would give as gifts or sell to others. He also liked to hunt for and collect crystals, each with special qualities.
will be greatly missed by his son, Isiah Kmietowicz; sister, Judith Hiller and husband David, Berwick; nephew, Daniel Harmon; nieces, Amy and Casey Setzer; great nieces and great nephews; and many friends and members of the Rainbow community.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Kmietowicz, and grandfather, Eugene Babetski.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. A gathering will follow at 5:00 PM at 132 Walnut Drive, Beach Haven to continue the celebration of his life.
