Helen L. Zeiser, 83, of Berwick passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville, surrounded by her family.
Born in Susquehanna County on November 21, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Alice M. (Compton) Ransom. She was raised and educated in the Lenoxville area. After moving to the Berwick area Helen worked for Bloomsburg Craftsman, which later became Hadden, until her retirement.
Helen was a member of Cornerstone Bible Church, Nescopeck, and formerly Taxville Full Gospel Assembly in York. She was active with the silver sneakers club at the YMCA. She enjoyed visiting casinos, taking bus trips, and travelling, especially to Florida. She liked reading, listening to Blue Grass music, and visiting carnivals where she would set up her lawn chair and listen to the bands play. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
She will be greatly missed by son, James R. White and wife Ellen of Factoryville; daughters, Linda L. Price and companion Michael Topper of Manchester, Tina M. Long and husband Michael of Dover, Pa, Sandra J. Stran and husband Anthony of St. Petersburg, FL, and Billie J. Botsford and husband Edmund of Berwick; grandchildren, Stacie, Daniell, Christopher, Jason, Michael, Anthony, Ryan, and Brandi; 11 great grandchildren; stepson, David Zeiser; stepdaughter, Deb Potter; several step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her first husband Lyndon E. White; second husband, Drue A. Zeiser; grandson, Douglas Urey; and brothers, Harold, Frank, and Richard Ransom.
A viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC., 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. A funeral service will follow with her Pastor James Winder officiating. Interment will take place Friday, November 4, 2016 in Abington Hills, Clarks Summit at 11:00 AM.
