Sarah Jane Yachimowski, 88, of Nescopeck, Mifflin Township, went from the arms of her loving family to the arms of her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 30, 2016. She is now walking in the glory of God where there is no more pain and no more suffering, just the peace and love of Jesus. Praise be to God.
Mrs. Yachimowski was born on July 5, 1928 in Nanticoke, the daughter of Sara and Frank Williams. She lived in the Hetlerville area most of her life. She was a member of the Mifflinville United Methodist Church and greatly appreciated the fellowship of her Church family. She enjoyed her home and simply loved observing everything around her. She also enjoyed reading, but her greatest joy and love was her family and friends.
Her husband Raymond whom she was married to for 58 years passed in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her sister June Nafus of Benton.
She will be greatly missed by her son, Raymond Jr., and his wife Jane of Mifflinville; three grandsons, Brian and wife Chris of Orangeville; Jeremy of Mifflinville; Jason and wife Amanda of Mifflinville; four great grandchildren, David and Sarah of Orangevillle, Gabriel and Tristan of Mifflinville; a brother, Robert Williams and his wife Constance who live in Mountain Top; and brother-in-law, Edward Yachimowski and his wife Marjorie who live in Zenith.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck with Reverend John Bondhus officiating. Interment will follow in Mifflinville Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
