Vaughn E. Titus, Sr., 74, of Berwick passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Berwick Retirement Village, surrounded by his family.
Born in Paterson, NJ on April 29, 1942, he was the son of the late Belva (Long) and Frank E. Titus, Sr. He attended North West High School. He was employed at Wise Potato Chips, the Berwick Forge, and most recently he worked at Dana Corperation in Berwick, until his retirement.
“Bubbe” was an outdoorsman and an avid hunter and fisherman. He liked sports and rooting for his favorite teams, the Berwick Bulldogs, North West Rangers, the LA Dodgers, and the Oakland Raiders. He loved everyone, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucetta A. (Youell’s) Titus in 2010; and grandsons, Brandon Thompson and Robert Doyle Armstrong.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Margaret Miller and husband Doug, Berwick; Theresa McAndrew and husband David, Daytona Beach, FL; Lois Devlin, Berwick; Susan Armstrong and husband Daniel, Great Falls, MT; sons, Frank Titus, and wife Racene, Berwick; Vaughn Titus, Jr and wife Lori, Nescopeck; 20 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and companion, Elizabeth Yankovich, Berwick. He also leaves behind sisters, Lois Cragle and husband Ron, Berwick; Renna Dietterick and husband Larry, Berwick; brother, Dennis Titus and wife Bobbi, Shickshinny; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck with his brother-in-law Ronald Cragle officiating. Interment will follow in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn. Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
