James Robert Munsch, 34, of Danville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at his home.
Born in Pittsburgh on March 23, 1982, he was the son of Robert P. Munsch and wife Cynthia, Danville, and Linda L. Young and husband Herbert, Berwick. He was a graduate of Bloomsburg Area High School, and served in the US Army Reserves for 3 years. After being honorably discharged, had worked at Kydex, Bloomsburg. He had worked at several area businesses and most recently he was a manager in frozen foods at Giant in Danville.
James attended Shiloh Bible Church, Bloomsburg. He was very active with NA, volunteering, leading meetings, and sponsoring others. In his young years, he played baseball, basketball, and was involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He loved all kinds of motor sports, including dirt bikes, motorcycles, and 4-wheelers. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by his daughter, Brooke Allison Munsch, who was the love of his life; sisters, Michelle Cherrington and husband Nate of Bloomsburg; Carla Wogoman and husband Adam of Iowa; Heather Ryan and husband Andrew of Fairmont, WV; and Shannon and Sarah DeLong, both of Berwick, a niece, Sierra; nephews, Jayson and Cyrus. He also leaves behind grandparents, Donald Nelly and wife Terry of Charlotte, NC, Elaine Auman and husband Wayne of Ft. Myers, FL, Beverly Munsch, Springboro, PA, Regis Munsch and wife Dot of Erie, PA, and Anna Roberts of Warner Robins, GA; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
James is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Dorene Young; grandfather, Glenn K. Roberts, Jr.; and great-grandmother, Marian Kaltenborn.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC., 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck with Reverend Doug Lyon officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday from 3:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
