P. Ray Fentstermacher, 86, of Berwick passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Nescopeck on November 15, 1930, he was a son of the late Allen and Eva (Troutman) Fenstermacher. He was raised and educated in Nescopeck. For 40 years, he worked in the maintenance department Wise Foods, Berwick. After retirement, he was employed part time at Tuzzi’s Bakery.
Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman. He liked taking trips to the casinos. He spent many hours tending to his garden. He was a talented woodworker, making many items, including all the furniture in his house. No matter what he was doing, his loyal companions, Bella and Buddy were always at his side, and they will sadly miss him.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 27 years, Donna M. (Ruhmel) Fenstermacher; daughters, Mary Lee Hunsinger and husband Karl, Berwick; Rae Ellen Earl and husband Ron, Berwick; Lucy Rado and husband Antonio, Orangeville; stepsons, Scott Reader and wife Tina, Berwick; Robert Reader and wife Terri, Nescopeck; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Marie Ruhmel; several nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Atwood Fenstermacher; and sister, Marguerite Seward. He was the last of his immediate family.
At Ray’s request, there will be no services.
