Fred C Cleaver Jr, 80, of Orangeville passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Nescopeck on June 13, 1936, he was a son of the late Violet (Mensinger) and Fred C. Cleaver Sr. He was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1954, and served honorably in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. He worked at Milco Industries in Benton and later Bloomsburg, for over 35 years.
Fred participated in league bowling at P-Nut Bowl, and won the state bowling league award. He enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, and working on jig-saw puzzles. He loved spending time outside, even if it meant tackling chores.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Zella M. (Wilson) Cleaver; daughters, Cheryl Blewett and husband William, Bloomsburg; Michelle Farver and husband Steven “Butch”, Unityville; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Bertha Cleaver, Catawissa; Tillie Weaver and husband Wayne, Berwick; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Martha Martz.
In keeping with Fred’s wishes all services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is assisting his family.
