Dolores J. (Snyder) Brown, 88, of Mifflinville, passed away on July 30, 2017, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Berwick on September 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Loleta Hock and William Snyder. She attended Berwick High School.
Dolores was married for 57 years to the late Robert E. Brown, until his death in November 2001.
Dolores worked at Briar Creek Knitting and US Radium prior to accompanying her husband, who was an independent truck driver, on his travels across the country.
Dolores loved spending time with her family, playing cards, going to bingo and taking trips to Las Vegas. Also, anyone who knew Dee, knew her love of animals and how much she cherished her pets throughout her lifetime.
Dolores will be greatly missed by her two daughters: Sandra Hess and husband David “Butch” of Mifflinville and Barbara Bayer and companion Stan “Butch” Breisch, Bloomsburg; grandchildren: Deborah Ashelman and husband Robert, Mifflinville; Tracy Shannon and husband Michael, Alexandria, Kentucky; and Rayne Hoffman and husband Thomas, Berwick. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her son, Joel E. Brown; grandson, Bret Kishbaugh and brother, William Snyder Jr.
In keeping with the wishes of Dolores, there will be no funeral service. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck, is honored to be assisting the family.
