Thomas H. Miller

Thomas H. Miller, retired Pastor and Vietnam Veteran, was received by his Heavenly Father on Monday morning, August 14, 2017, following a long illness.

Born in Gardenville, NY on October 20, 1946, he was the son of the late Harvey and Jane (Brooker) Miller. He graduated from the University of Buffalo with a BA in Communications. After receiving the call to become a Pastor, he was ordained in 1988. He retired in February from Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, where he served for over 30 years.

Tom dedicated his life to the church and community. He would often say “to love others will always hurt because, to truly love openly and fully leaves one vulnerable to rejection and pain.” The knowledge of this didn’t stop him from investing in the lives of others and extending a helping hand. He loved life. He had a missionary heart that took him overseas several times in his life. He dreamed big and set out to make things happen. He inspired those around him to not settle for things seen, but to live like all things were possible. He will be greatly missed by his family, community and church. Matthew 22:37-40

Tom will be remembered not just for his dedication to ministry but for his love of music, playing the guitar, tinkering in his workshop, boating, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 34 years, Christine (Kraus) Miller; children: Tamara Lane and husband Charles; Marcie Andes and husband Ansel; Brian Miller and wife Katie; Sara Garner and husband Jeff; Catherine Nallon and husband Eric; grandchildren: Natalie, Samantha, Zachary, Brooke, Alison, Ashley, Jason, Ava, and Julia; brothers: James Miller and wife Sue; Jerry Miller and wife Cheryl; sister, Kathleen Colmerauer and husband Robert; and many nieces; nephews; and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Elijah; brothers, Dennis and Donald; and step-mother, Meg.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Nuangola. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

Private interment will take place in Indiantown Gap Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 3577 Church Road, P.O. Box 126, Mountaintop, PA 18707.
