Clovis F. Rupp, 87, of Bloomsburg passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on December 21, 1929 he was the son of the late Clovis G. and Gladys M. (Bower) Rupp. Clovis was raised and educated in Numidia. He served in the National Guard from 1950 – 1953. After an honorable discharge, he was employed at several local businesses, including S&B Foundry and ARGO. Most recently he worked at Valley Seeding in Sugarloaf.
He enjoyed pro wrestling, watching every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. He also liked to watch western style movies and was a big fan of John Wayne. Clovis was also a history buff and loved traveling to Military Museums and Native American Reservation Museums.
He will be greatly missed by his children: Richard Rupp and wife Jackie, Espy; Charles Rupp and wife Eileen, New Windsor, NY; Linda Fetterman and husband Doug, Bloomsburg; Donna Oliva, Williamsport; Kenneth Rupp and wife Dottie, Siler City, NC; daughter-in-law, Patricia Rupp, Berwick; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters: Beverly Rupp, Sandy Rupp and Lois Rupp, all from Berwick; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise M. (Cool) Rupp in November, 2012, son Michael Rupp, in April, 2014; and son-in-law George Oliva, April 2017.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Elan Memorial Park, Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg. Pastor Caleb Fritz will be officiating.
