Suzanne Forsythe

Suzanne Forsythe, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Berwick Hospital Center.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on January 21, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Jack H. and Clara (Hileman) Taylor. She graduated from Berwick High School in 1952. Sue was employed at Lady Ester, Berwick from 1957 to 1971.

She was a member of St Paul’s United Church of Christ in Sugarloaf, where she was a deacon and reader, and participated in special events. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Hazleton.

Suzanne married her husband John W. Forsythe, shortly after graduation. They bought their farm in Hollenback Township in the early 70’s, and Sue greatly enjoyed being homemaker and working the farm. She spent many hours, cooking baking and canning. She collected cookbooks and recipes. She liked to garden, especially flowers, and she loved birds. She had a very close relationship with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she adored.

In addition to her loving husband John of 65 years; she will be greatly missed by her sons, John Forsythe and wife Elizabeth, Sodus, NY; Robert Forsythe, Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Derrick Forsythe and wife Maria; Cody Forsythe and companion Monica; Devon Musser and husband Gene; and great grandchildren, Felix; Riley; Ryan; Dalton; and Logan. She also leaves behind a brother, Dave Taylor and wife Dolly, Scranton; sisters, Jill Hogan, Deleware; Jackie DiPippa, Delaware; Judy Naunczek, Berwick; many nieces and nephews; and the family pet, “Dakota”. The family would like to acknowledge former daughter-in-law, Cindy Forsythe for all of her love and support over the years.

At Sue’s request there will be no public services.
