Arlene D. (O’Neal) Hunsinger, 87, of Binghamton, NY, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at home surrounded by family, following a brief illness.
Born in Wapwallopen, PA on January 11, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Walter Sterling and Jessie Marie (Hunter) O’Neal. She was raised and educated in the “Beef Hill” area.
Arlene was a true lady, and loved by all who met her. She loved crafting, especially making her beaded Christmas spiders, which earned her the title “the Spider Lady”. She was known for giving away her smiles, hugs, and her catch-phrase, “Love You More!”.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Leo Edwin Hunsinger, Sr.; and 11 siblings.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Patricia E. O’Brien; Kathryn R. Hunsinger; sons, Leo E. Hunsinger, Jr.; Mark E. Hunsinger; cherished grandchildren: Bill; Trisha; Michael; Jeffrey; adored great-grandsons, Liam; Luke; Sloan; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Elan Memorial Park.
