May L. Fenstermacher

May L. Fenstermacher, 88, of Dorrance Township passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Providence Place in Drums, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Dorrance Township on May 28, 1929, she was a daughter of the late George and Edith (Stein) Rinehimer. She graduated from Newport Township High School, and was employed at RCA, Mountaintop for many years. Later, she worked in the cafeteria for the Crestwood School District for over 20 years, before retiring.

She was a member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mountain Top, where she was a member of WELCA, helping with hoagie sales and other fund raisers. She was an excellent baker and loved to cook. She will be fondly remembered for her sticky buns and German chocolate cake, as well as the chicken and waffle dinners she made for her grandsons’ birthdays. She enjoyed swimming with her friends at the YMCA, and quilting.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 67 years, Eugene R. Fenstermacher; children: Brent Fenstermacher and wife Donna, Mountain Top; Brenda Hagemo and husband Lloyd, Edina, MN; Dale Fenstermacher, Sellersville; 6 cherished grandsons: Tyler, Erich, Damien, Nathan, Brian, and Alec; 4 adored great grandchildren; sister, Lois Yeager, Mountain Top; brothers, Arthur Rinehimer and wife Margaret, Bloomsburg; Floyd Rinehimer and wife Shirley, Hobbie; Edsel Rinehimer and wife Jane, Dorrance; sister-in-law, Ruth Rinehimer; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brother, George Rinehimer; and sisters, Emily Bloss and husband Wilbur; Hellen Rinehimer and husband Claude, and brother-in-law, Ray Yeager.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 316 South Mountain Blvd, Mountain Top, with Reverend Michele Kaufman officiating.
