Nancy M. (Kacyon) Hart, 84, of Berwick, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Smith Health Care, Mountaintop, where she resided for the past 4 years.
Born in Berwick on March 29, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Steven L. and Grace L. (Myers) Kacyon. She graduated from Berwick High School. Nancy married Delroy J. Hart, and together they had 3 children. She was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her time to providing a loving home.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Berwick for many years. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the local quilting club. She also liked crocheting and sewing. Nancy loved being outdoors, and spent many hours gardening and working around her yard. She enjoyed taking long walks, especially with her sister, Elaine.
In addition to her husband Delroy, who passed away in 1999, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert; William; and Clifford Kacyon; and sister, Ruby Masonitti.
She will be greatly missed by her loving children: son, Jake Hart, Wapwallopen; son, Ralph Hart and wife Jill, Clarks Summit; daughter, Gail Stradnick and husband George, Hobbie; grandchildren: Jason, Sheri, Jessica, Jennifer, Julie, Beth, JoAnne, Kalee, Corryn, Zach, Rachel, Tori and Cassondra; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Elaine Pursel, Nescopeck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck with her son, Ralph Hart leading the service. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
