Ralph Konderchek, 74, of Berwick passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Berwick on November 11, 1943, he was a son of the late Margaret (Defrain) Konderchek Slusser and Floyd M. Slusser. He was raised and educated in the Briggsville area. He worked as a lumberjack for Wenner’s, Sugarloaf, and later helped at Rinehimer’s Farm, RR1 Berwick. He was employed at Valley Seeding, Conyngham for over 16 years. After retirement, he assisted at Zehner Bros. Farm, Nescopeck.
Ralph attended Bloomsburg Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing. He watched WWE wrestling every Monday and Friday night. He was an avid Eagles football fan, and will be rooting them on from heaven this Super Bowl Sunday. He also enjoyed playing poker with friends and family.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Kathy M. (Mowery) Konderchek; son, Ralph L. Konderchek and fiancé Caley Anne Hummel, Berwick; daughter, Kitty Vaughn and husband George Harvey, Berwick; cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Marie (his “Jesse James”); Donovan Floyd; Gavin Matthew; and Joscelyn Fae. He also leaves behind his sister, Patricia Brown and husband James, Briggsville; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Russel and Robert Konderchek; and Franklin and Floyd H. Slusser.
A viewing will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM with Pastor Craig D. Laidacker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be given to the family to help defray his final expenses.
