Stephen Boyd Lunger, 50, of Catawissa passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at home, surrounded by family.
Born on October 14, 1967, he was the son of Marilyn Ann (Evans) Lunger, Catawissa and the late Gary E. Lunger. He graduated form Southern Columbia High School in 1986 and later received an engineering certification from Lincoln Technical Institute. He worked at Berwick Industries and Impress. Most recently he was employed at Big Heart Pet Brands.
Known to many as “Pee Wee” or “Muchkin”, he was a member of Bloomsburg Archery Club, and enjoyed target practicing with his bow and arrow. He liked being outdoors and walking in the woods. He was a talented guitar player. He was also a HAM radio operator. He loved his Mastiffs, “Thor”, “Trevor”, “Peanut Butter”, and “Barney”.
In addition to his mother, he will be greatly missed by his wife, Lisa A. (Kline) Lunger, with whom he spent the past 22 years; daughters, Kortney Lunger, Krysten Lunger, Megan Lunger; stepdaughter, Jennifer Simchock; grandchildren, Alijah, Aveya, and Ariel. He also leaves behind brothers, Gary R. Lunger and partner Juan Bernejo, NJ; Col. David A. Lunger and wife Tammy Bardo Lunger, FL; nieces and nephews, and many extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ, 150 Church Road, Nescopeck with Reverend Richard Dennison officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E. Third Street, Nescopeck, PA 18635 to help defray his final expenses.
