Ronald E. Stout, 73, of Nescopeck Township passed away Sunday evening, February 25, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 24, 1945, he was one of 7 children born to the late Mae Stout. He was raised and educated in Nanticoke. Ron worked at several sewing factories in the Nanticoke area before he was employed, for 30 years, at C & M Springs/Dana Corp, Berwick. Prior to retiring, Ron worked as a custodian at Nescopeck Elementary School.
Ron enjoyed fishing and loved mowing grass. He was a car enthusiast and liked watching Barrett-Jackson car auctions. He was a “Steelers” and “Eagles” football fan, and a Dale Earnhardt Jr, NASCAR fan.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Ruth M. (Spencer) Stout, with whom he celebrated a 52nd wedding anniversary on February 14th. He also leaves behind daughters: Renee Hileman and husband Haven, Wapwallopen; Rhonda Scheets and husband Kevin, Nescopeck Twp; son, Ronald A Stout, Nescopeck Twp; grandchildren: Desiree; Christopher; Dylan; Tyler; Kody; Kajun and Kyle; great grandchildren: Kayden and Warren; and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Roy, at birth; and brother, Charles Marino.
A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck with Pastor Mike Delp officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until the time of service.
